4 Insights about writing a book

When writing a book, there are things you must consider as ingredients for successful writing. In this short article, I’ll give you some tips to help you become a successful writer.

Most writers, especially the upcoming authors, find it so difficult to generate ideas on the title or topic to write on-they struggle to write even a chapter. If you find yourself in such a challenge, worry less; this blog post is for you.

1. Have the mindset of a writer

Before you think of writing your own book, you need to have the mindset of a writer. Before you sit down and type a single word, it will be advisable to take some time to tackle a few attitude questions and devise means of setting the right mindset.

Most writers know very well that mindset is a key factor in becoming a successful writer. Writing a book isn’t done by magic but by practice, dedication, and commitment. Before you write a single word, take time to dwell on your task, if you actually want to be a writer or a joker!

It’s so much more about being organized with the same structure and writing voice for the particular story you need to tell.

2. Read more books

By reading more books, your mind will be opened to what lies before you. It will gradually inculcate in you, the hunger to write your own books, if only you have the call. This makes it possible for you to begin to build constructive ideas for writing your own book.

You may not necessarily be mentored by a writer before you become a writer. Those books you read and reflect on are your mentors! It will be impossible for you to become a writer without first becoming a reader unless you want to write TRASH.

Reading other writers’ books is a sure way to learn from the foundation, how to write books. It also makes it possible for other people to read your own books when you’ve finally written one.

3. Choose a niche

The reason why most people are not writers even after having a deep interest in writing is due to they feel writing is very difficult. This is because they failed to choose a niche when writing. When you choose a niche, your writing will have a targeted audience and will reduce too many worries of large coverage in writing.

Before writing, you may choose to be a fiction or nonfiction writer depending on what your ability can carry. If you’re not able to choose a niche, you will easily get discouraged. I encountered discouragement on the way but not because of not choosing a niche. writing a nonfiction book is amazing just like writing a fiction book, so choose one.

I had every reason to quit writing due to a lack of encouragement from my family, schoolmates, and friends yet, I didn’t let them be the reason why give up my career. Choosing a niche will make you a better writer.

4. Your draft won’t be perfect!

When I started writing, my first draft was as bad as anything you can think of, but when I kept working harder, my writing style and skill began to improve.

Don’t relax or feel bad when your first attempt seems to be ugly, it shows you’re on the right track! That’s what some people do not know. Just keep working and moving ahead.

Nobody has ever done it once and got it all, we all try and fail just to learn more. Daily drafting of contents; ideas, information, event, and even feelings can make you a better writer when summed up together.
