10 top best car insurance companies in 2023

Here are the top best car insurance companies in 2022, and the ratings are based on the report of US News ratings. There are many auto insurance companies in the United States of America. However, Stronger Insight lists only ten car insurance companies as best for providing satisfied customer services in 2022, with whole lots of benefits for their clients.
1. USAA
USAA is the best insurance company according to USNews.com ratings. In its 2022 survey, USAA outnumbered other insurance companies in customer satisfaction according to customers report. The report also shows that most customers are likely to renew their coverage, and also recommend USAA to other drivers out of the joy of satisfaction. USAA also has the cheapest rates, beating the national average by 35%, the US News review reported.
USAA insurance products are only available to members of the US military community, and they include auto, homeowners, and renters policies. This means, not all drivers will be eligible for coverage offered by USAA.
2. State Farm
State Farm is another insurance company in the US that ranks No. 2 in the US News review. It has above-average scores in each of our subratings including Claims Handling and Customer Loyalty. It is also one of the cheapest car insurance companies in the US. It has affordable premiums for drivers with less than pristine driving records and was the lowest in the rating for those unable to get a policy from USAA.
3. Farmers
Farmers did its best to land at No. 3 in the reviews. It holds ties for No. 1 in Claims Handling and No. 2 in Customer Service and Customer Loyalty. Farmers lose points compared to other insurers in the rating in the ‘most likely to be renewed’ option which has 4.0 in the score ratio below the category average of 4.2. Farmers also have one of the most expensive average annual rates of the companies which the US News review gathered.
4. Nationwide
Nationwide tried to position itself as No. 3 but unfortunately, it was impossible for it. It came No. 4. It has the second-highest scores in the reviews’ ‘customer loyalty and most likely to be recommended’ subratings and above-average scores in each of the other subrating categories. Nationwide has below-average rates for some drivers, especially those with a good driving record or poor credit.
5. Geico
Geico follows National in the rating with average scores across the board in categories like ‘customer service’, ‘claims handling’, and ‘customer loyalty.’ Here, it stands out in its premiums. It’s tried to rate just behind USAA for teen and senior drivers as well as those with poor credit.
6. Allstate
Allstate rated No. 6 in this year’s Best Car Insurance Companies rating. Allstate is also ranked No. 4 in the ‘most likely to be recommended’ subrating, although the company received slightly below-average scores in most of the other subrating categories. However, its rates are among the highest in our analysis, though Allstate may offer a competitive rate for certain drivers, such as those with a speeding violation on their driving record.
7. Travelers
Travelers came No. 7 according to the review. Travelers’ customer service score is lower than seven other insurers in our analysis, but it takes the No. 1 spot in our ‘claims handling’ subrating category and the No. 3 spot in the ‘most likely to be renewed’ category. According to USNews.com, Travelers also receives an above-average score for policy renewal and offers premiums that are typically lower than the national average.
8. Progressive
Progressive positions itself in No. 8 spot in the analysis. Generally, customers are generally satisfied with the ease of opening a policy but Progressive places last in the ‘best for customer loyalty’ category and have below-average scores in every other subrating in our survey. Its customers also report being less likely to renew their policy or recommend the insurer to other drivers. Notwithstanding, persons with a DUI may be able to unlock savings with Progressive. Its rates for those drivers are among the lowest in our study.
9. AAA
AAA is new to the US News’ best car insurance companies rating, and it ties in with Progressive for the No. 8 spot. Its scores are below average in each category we analyzed. It does, however, take the No. 6 spot in our ‘most likely to be renewed’ subrating, beating Allstate, Farmers, Progressive, and American Family. The report shows that AAA also has the highest average premiums in our study. However, those drivers that consider AAA should get a quote to determine if their individual rate is more competitive or less.
10. American Family
American Family landed itself on No. 10 in the raking. Its scores are the lowest in most subrating categories, though it has a slightly higher score than Progressive in the US News’ best for ‘customer loyalty’ category. Despite low scores, American Family always offer competitive rates for some drivers, especially teen drivers, drivers with poor credit, and drivers with an accident or DUI on their record.
